Editorial policies for D4 Coalition newspaper

Good morning board,
Here is the updated version of the newspaper policies, procedures and process. A copy of this was given to you in June. Dean has added an appendix which I think you will find helpful. Rebecca Webb, Brian Butler, Marcia Leslie, Marita Inglesby, myself as Communication chair and Dean have been your news team. Kent Snyder and Jesse Burke have attended from time to time.
These policies will be on the agenda for review and approval on October 6th. If you have questions or comments before next Monday's meetings please address them to Dean. Dean will comment on the editorial policies. Unfortunately I can't attend this board meeting nor the communications training the next day.
If I were to be present, I would report to you that the funding for this year's paper is secure and the transition from the old newspaper to D4 Voices has been successful. Our readership is way up and growing. We have added a social media presence for the coalition and paper which is reaching new readers across D4. We have a once a month column from each of our councilors, a state of the district message from our president and executive director and numerous timely articles about the city and county and the entire district.
The policies are not long so I hope you will read through them. Next week is our coalition board meeting and you have several days to review.
Best
